UPDATE

I received an email today from the researcher at the Chardon Public Library. She confirmed my guess that my great-grandfather Glenn H Abell is buried in the plot labeled as owned by "Mrs. G.H. Abell". It is an unmarked grave, as are his parents' graves.

The researcher said my great-grandfather's body was originally placed in a vault, a kind of "holding place" for a time before he was buried, possibly because of soil conditions or a backlog at the time.

She found his obituary and will be mailing it to me.
