I've been searching for this census record for several families in Geauga County. I've noticed that each family has been listed in two separate 1870 Census records. They are not just duplicate copies because the census taker is different.

Most of the information is identical, but sometimes a detail differs. Not enough to be a different family though.

Does anyone know why this was done?
