Betty J. Wilcox, age 90, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Laurels of Norworth.
Betty graduated from Central High School.
She was married in 1947 to her beloved Bob.
She was briefly employed by Lazarus.
Betty retired from The Ohio State University Medical Center after serving for many years as a secretary to Dr. Arthur G. James.
She was a huge Buckeye fan, and enjoyed planning elaborate tailgates in the polo field for her friends and family.
She was fondly known as "Betty Buckeye".

Betty was preceded in death by parents Elizabeth and Richard McConnell, sister Kitty (Edwin) Feil, brother James (Kay) McConnell, and husband Robert M. Wilcox.
She is survived by son, James R. Wilcox (Donna, deceased); daughter, Patricia A. Sherman (Mike); grandson, Steven R. Sherman (Stephanie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 15.
Viewing will begin at 10 a.m., a service will follow at 11 a.m. at SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 4341 North High Street.
