The plaintiff in a Franklin County, Ohio court case swore on 2 January 1854 that Everett Tolliver was residing in Buffalo, New York.

Everett Tolliver, a free Negro, and a cook, was born about 1819 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He owned land, with his wife, Martha, in Columbus, Ohio. Perhaps her maiden name was Sowers.

Everett was probably Edward Toliver who married Mary Duffy on 25 November 1852 in Franklin County, Ohio.

He was also likely recorded as Edward Falison in the 1850 U.S. census, Franklin County, Ohio in the city of Columbus.

His apparent children were Sarah, Paul, Charles Barnett, Virginia, and Nancy. They were born about 1840, 1843, 1847, 1848, and 1849 respectively. Each was probably born in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.

Everett Tolliver and Mary, his wife created a deed of sale in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio on 15 February 1853.

Seeking information about what happened to Everett, his wife, Mary, and daughters Sarah, Virginia, and Nancy.
