MADISON — Mr. Charles Steven "Steve" Honacher, 41, of 1100 Washburn Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Chapel of Ray Funeral Home with Reverend John Atkins officiating.

Mr. Honacher was born on September 11, l967, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a US Army veteran. Prior to moving to N.C. six years ago, he owned Burr's Lock Shop in Waterbury, Conn. He is the owner and operator of Gold Hill Equestrian Center and is employed with FCM Services.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Sheehan Honacher of the home; parents, Charles R. "Chuck" Honacher and wife Sharon of Port Charlotte, Fla.; daughters, Kelly McGrath, Kristen McGrath, and Maeren Honacher; brother, Michael Honacher; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the funeral home and all other times at the residence.
Ray Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
