I have through census records traced my wife's family to Jefferson Twp., Franklin Co., Ohio, 1850 Census. [Went to IL in 1854]
Louis [P.]Smith, 33, Stone Cutter
Elizabeth, 23, wife
Byron [later Byard], 8, son
William, 2, son
Mary A., 1/12, daughter [must have died before 1860]
1840 Census, 3 of 8 Smith's appear to be parents. Jacob, Jacob Jr., or Timothy. [Louis had a son, Jacob?]
Elizabeth's parents must be William Armstrong?
Where can I find records to verify this family?
