Continental – Goldie Thelma Mansfield, 76, rural Continental, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday in the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born June 11, 1906 in Putnam county, to John H. And Irene (Harrell) Friend. She married Leo B. Mansfield, who survives. Also surviving are one son, John R. Mansfield, Continental; a daughter, Helen Beverly, Continenal; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Ronald (Datha) Mansfield, Continental, and one brother, Glen Friend, Defiance. She was preceded in death by one son and one sister.
She was a member of the North Mount Zion Church and also a member of Ladies Aid. Services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home in Continental with Dr. Marshall Fry officiating. Burial will be in North Mount Zion Cemetery. Also, it was reported that a surviving sister was Mrs. Ronald (Datha) Mansfield. It is Mrs. Roland (Datha) Mansfield.
