Auguste and Mary (Marie) Barbeau LaChapelle are buried in the Forest Home Cemetery, according to an index of that cemetery I found in the Allen Co. (IN) Library. The year of death for both is listed as 1924, but I can find neither listed in the Ohio Death Index, and do not know the dates of death or circumstances. It is possible that one or both died at daughter Laura Stahl's home in IN or granddaughter's, also in IN; it is also possible that there were more living children (son?)of which I am not aware. I have found no way to contact the Forest Home Cemetery regarding cemetery records. If anyone can tell me how to contact those who hold the records, I would be most appreciative.
Also, my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Barbeau Periard, died in Hicksville in 1921 or 1922 while visiting the LaChapelles; she was not buried there, but in her city of residence, Saginaw MI, but there should be some record in Defiance Co. OH. But I was not able to find any when I visited both the Health Dept. and the Records Dept. several years ago.
