Auguste and Mary (Marie) Barbeau Lachapelle were married in Defiance Co., in the 1860's and lived thier adult lives in Hicksville. Auguste was perhaps a blacksmith, as recorded in US census. Both apparently died in 1924,according to their tombstone, and they are buried in the Forest Home Cemetery, Old Section. However, I cannot locate death certificates for either of them. Their daughter Gusta Lachapelle Swilley (d. 4/1900) is buried in the same cemetery next to her husband Edward Swilley. Auguste & Mary raised Gusta's daughter Laura or Lora, who may have married a man from IN.
Can anyone tell me where they died and how to obtain their death certificates? Am primarily interested in Mary Barbeau Lachapelle.
