The Mastons probably arrived in Coshocton County around 1815, coming from Fayette County, PA. They included parents James Maston (b. circa 1765, New York) and Mary Ann ____ Maston (b. circa 1781), and children: Peter (1803); Benjamin (1805); Levi (1806); Abraham (18??); James (1808); Mary Margaret (married name Hains) (1808); William (1810); Margaret (married name Loder) (1811) and Eleanor (1814).

William (of these children) married Sarah Margaret Bethel (b. 1819, Coshocton Coo.) and had the following children: Mary "Ann" (married name Marshall) (1836); Barbie (married name Marshall) (1839); John (1840); Sarah "Jane" Maston (married name Right/Wright) (1842); Heulah or Hulda (married name Loder) (1843); William (1845); Martha E. (married name Swank) (1847); Seth McClain (1850); Joseph (1853); George (1855); Della (married name Bellinger) (1858); and Lauran (1861). There may also have been a Florence.

My Mastons start further back in time than yours. If you can identify Blanche's grandparents, we can probably find a connection. I suggest you search the census records for 1900 and find her parents. Then continue your research back to find her grandfather. I have a feeling that he was a brother to my Mary Maston. Good luck!

Saw your posting for the Maston/Mastin/Masten families. Have fairly complete Maston line begining with James Mastin's father Peter & Margaret Frayer-Maston. Would be interested in your information.

I am looking for information on Sarah Maston/Mastin born about 1848 in Jackson Twp.,Coshocton, Ohio. She married John C. Henson in 1867 in DeWitt Co., Illinois. Her parents were Levigh/Levi Maston/Mastin and Elizabeth Peterman. Do you have any information on her or them? Sarah Maston/Mastin Henson died probably in Missouri, date unknown. Her husband John C. Henson died in Missouri.
