Looking for information on a hotel? that was once known as the Gates House, but then the West house. I think my G-G-G-Grandpa William Thompson was the landlord during part of the 1870's. Is there anyone to contact regarding the history of this building? Secondly, I believe William died there on 7/10/1876. He was born in 1812 in England. Would there be any death records for him, articles in newspapers, obituaries, etc.? Thanks for any help.
