I have confirmed the parentage of Hamilton Jefferson JONES. He is the son of John (b. abt. 1792 VA/WVA, s/o William and Sarah JONES) and Ann JONES.

Their children were:
John Henry (my g-g-g-grandfather, b. 1821 Clark Co, Oh, m. Jemima C. BOTKIN)
Hamilton Jefferson (b. 1823, m. Mehitable TUTTLE)
Mahala (m. Samuel GOODFELLOW)
Newton
Lavina
