Cleo H. Stoner, 86 of Granville, Ohio, died May 19, 2014 at her residence.

She was born February 23, 1928, in Springfield, Ohio to Greek immigrants, the late William and Anna (Georgicus) Hanes.

Cleo was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

She was a graduate of Springfield South High School and Wittenburg University where she met her sweetheart of 62 years, John E. Stoner.

Cleo began teaching at Emerson School, Dayton, Ohio in 1950 and also taught at Utica, Newton and Miller schools and retired after 34 years.
Cleo and John purchased Reynolds Orchard which they operated as Stoner's Orchard until 1975.
She was a volunteer at Licking Memorial Hospital, an accomplished artist and member of Licking Co. Art Association, Utica Twig, Utica Review Club and Monday Talks Club.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Krisanne and Soc Goumas of Granville, OH; sons and daughter-in-law, Russell Stoner of Columbus, Ohio, Josh and Debra Stoner of Delaware, Andrew Stoner of Columbus; grandchildren, Eli and Gretchen Stoner, Chase and Sophie (Wodzak) Goumas and Amanda Goumas; great-grandson, Felix.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John E. Stoner who passed away April 18, 2013; granddaughter, Marah; sisters, Elizabeth Petropoulos, Mary Boudouris and Elaine Keris.

A funeral service for Cleo H. Stoner, 86 of Granville, was held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, May 26, 2014 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, Ohio.

A private family burial will be held at Welsh Hills Cemetery with Reverend Demetrios Gardikes. Friends called prior to the service 10:00-11:30 a.m., Monday, May 26 at the funeral home.
