Classification: Query
Surnames: Smith, Hantz, Chance, Garrett, Ward, Colbert, Steinbarger, Prince
Would like to see someone connect with this line and correct or add to it? Looking for Peter Smith's first wife who would be the mother of my Anna Smith Colbert. From what I can tell Peter was married twice, the first marriage probably in Virginia as Anna Smith was born February 22, 1792 in Page County, Virginia (death certificate information) she married in Champaign County, Ohio April 08, 1812 to John Colbert. There was no census in Champaign County, Ohio in 1810 so I don't know if Peter Smith wife came to Ohio or not? I also know there was another Peter Smith in Champaign County who died in June 1816 but he did not mention a Peter Smith in his Will? I also have a Land Record of Peter Smith and Susa Smith to Joseph Smith January 1831 not proof of relationship to Joseph? I will post more on the children of Peter Smith to follow.
