I am looking for "CHILDREN" of Elijah, Jacob and Joseph MILLS - who are thought to be brothers from MD>PA circa 1750's through 1780's.
Elijah, Jacob and Joseph Mills were all Soldiers in the Revolution, from Washington Co., PA
Colonel James Mills may have been related, also.
Elijah and Jacob Mills were in Columbia, Hamilton Co., OH by 1788. Came with the Benj. Stites Expidition.
1789 - Elijah Mills was married to Mary (Polly) Bailey, daughter of Groombright Bailey, in March 1789 by Judge John Cleve Symmes.
Butler County, OH History books tell that:
1) "Elijah Mills owned 1100 acres of land in Lemon Twp.(later Madison Twp.) Butler Co., on which he errected a corn-cracker mill
c 1800."
2) "Elijah Mills built a dam at the head of Twin Creek in 1800."
3) Elijah, Jacob and Joseph Mills are on 1807 Lemon Twp., Butler Co., OH Census.
4) Elijah Mills is buried at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery at Poasttown, Madison Twp., Butler Co., OH. (Oct 11, 1837.
I am looking for more "family" type information on the all these Mills's. Trying to track children's migration from Ohio to Indiana by 1820's.
Anyone researching these Mills's please contact me.
Regards,
Judy Mills Boie - Minnesota
