Need to verify the name John G. Laning. Married to Amanda O. Allen with daughter Mattie B. (b 1868) Both mother and daughter are found in the 1870 Brown County Census. According to the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors site, the only company formed in Brown County with a Laning in it was the 61st Ohio Infantry.

Any help on this is appreciated.
