Someone please help me with this brickwall. George A. Doty was born in 1847 in OH. He married Mary E. Wright on 17 Aug 1865 in Belmont Co, OH. The family is listed on the 1870 Belmont Co, OH census. Between 1870 and 1880, the family moved to Fannin county, TX. They are listed on the 1880 Fannin County, TX census, although the name is seriously misspelled (DAATIA). Apparently, George dies between 1880 and 1889. Mary and her sons Ben and Harry are listed in the Dallas, TX City Directory in 1889 and 1890. Mary is listed as the widow of George A. In 1900, Mary and the family were back in Fannin County, TX. Ben passed away 1 Nov 1900 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Mary passed away 10 Feb 1918 and is also buried in Oakwood Cemetery. If anyone knows about this family I would love to communicate with them. I am especially interested in finding out more about George and his parents. Hope to hear from someone.
