Hi Pam....I copied the Will after we talked on the phone. The date of March 1883 doesn't seem to be accurate, though, since my grandfather, his son, was born April 23, 1884. I have a letter from someone who knew the family that said my Grandfather, Floyd Redman, was "a babe in arms" when his father died. So that would indicate to me that Jefferson died sometime late 1884 or early 1885. If you find anything more let me know. Thanks, Tim

Odd, yes. I have a birth date for your Floyd as April 23, 1882, which came from the WWI draft registration cards. He reported age as 36 on Sept 12, 1918. I will let you know if I find anything else.

Pam...I have that draft card also, which is confusing. But the death certificate and the date on his headstone says 1884. If I can locate a birth certificate for him maybe it will clear it up....then again, maybe not!! Tim

Good morning and thank you for the offer to look up records. I am looking for Elizabeth Holcomb (Russell). She was the wife of Austin Holcomb. I have her living with Nellie Wilcox daughter in the 1880 census. I do not know when or how she died. If possible could you look up Nellie Wilcox (Holcomb)as well? I have her dying Aug 12 1900. I have attached a few photos of the headstones. Thank you in advance. Kevin Meyer

How nice of you. I am looking for death records for Cyrus Blood b. 1811 and his wife Sabrina Blood b. abt. 1820-23. I doubt if they are listed as I have tried to find them before, Sabrina may have died when my grandfather was born in 1865 but believe Cyrus was living still in 1867 but was gone by 1870 census. The deed for his property was offically recorded on May 1867. Hope you can find them. Lois (Blood) Stallsmith my email is loisstal@alltel.net

HI Joyce!
I was on the website poking around to see what was new and saw your message. I know its a few years old, but am wondering if your still doing look ups?
I'm looking for the record of Helen or Hellen Lafferty. She was born about 1852 in Pierpont, to John Lafferty and Sarah Marsh. Her mother died before the 1860 census and John was remarried to Harriet Chambers. I dont know if this girl died, or was adopted out because her mother died. If you can find anything it would be a great help! Thanks!

Hello! I found a John Lafferty born about 1828 from New York married to Harriet Lafferty born about 1831 from Ireland in Pierpont, Ohio in the 1880 census. The estimated marriage date is 1851. John was a blacksmith. There's a daughter, Matilda, born 1860, living with them. Her occupation is listed as keeping house.
I searched some Ashtabula records and an 1870's map with all the land owner's names on it. I found 2 Marsh's in southeast Pierpont, but none of the children I found for either was Sarah. One Marsh was D. and one was L.D Marsh living in adjoining properties.
I've not found any records of either Sarah or Helen. Could they have possibly died from childbirth complications and that's why what you know and what the record says are so similar? I hope something here helps and I'll continue looking.

I would be extremely greatful for any information on an "Abigail Green" wife of John Green. Her first husband, David Perry died in NY 1805. We believe Abigail to have been born circa 1760 and married John sometime after 1812. If you have records of John Green would also appreciate.

We are researching the "Perry" family and are trying to locate children of Abigail as well as ascertaining her maiden name, or anything at all about her. We know they moved to this area by 1830s if not sooner.
