Reuben A Lyman, for many years a resident of Tuscola County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. EM Slough, in Elmwood township on Friday, Oct 6, at the age of 84 years.

He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, and came to Michigan in 1863. For several years he resided on a farm near Unionville and later purchased a farm near Gagetown where he resided until the death of his wife two years ago. Since that time he has made his home with his daughter where his death occurred.

Deceased is survived by one son, Dr. Lyman of Bad Axe, two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Moore of Unionville and Mrs. EM Slough of Elmwood, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Rev. Morrison preaching the sermon, and interment was made in Hillside cemetery at Gagetown. Besides the children, those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Bitz, August Westfall, Mr. and Mrs. R Surine and August and Herman Sorrel, all of Unionville.
