Surnames: SHARP, WEST, POTTER
I'm looking for information about James SHARP of Ashtabula County.
James was born 24 Sept 1800 NY. He married Sally WEST (b NY 1811) in Ashtabula County 5 Dec 1829.
It looks like they were in Ashtabula in 1830 and Wayne Township Ashtabula County in 1840,1850 and 1860.
The SHARP Children: Amos 1832, Eliza 1834, Speedy E 1836, Cornelia 1837, Elsa 1839, Andrew 1841, Sally 1843, James Marvin Jr. born Mar. 1845, John B 1849, and Jane M. born May 1851.
James and Sally moved to Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan before 1870. Their daughter Jane married Hiram Hopkins and they were living with James and Sally, John and James Jr.
James died 24 August 1870. Hiram and Jane M Hopkins and her brother James M. Sharp were in Mecosta County Michigan before 1872.
Sally Sharp went back to Ashtabula County after James died and is living with son Andrew and his family in 1880.
Hiram and Jane M. Sharp had a daughter Nellie, who married Claude POTTER.
Is any one else working on this Ashtabula County family? Any help is appreciated.
