My line is thru Michael Herdman on Grandma Ethel Hilterbrans line, Henry Herdman I, and Elizabeth.

On my grandfathers side, Clarence Edward Newman,he was related to the Herdmans also, thru Anna Herdmans son Dr. Oscar Newman, from Jaybird,Ohio, the line that moved to Shattuck, Oklahoma. My husband and I visited the little Mayo Clinic of the West, or THE Newman HOSPITAL IN Shattuck. I was shocked at the photos in the hospital, that looked so familar with my Uncles, Clarence & Phoebes sons. One looks like my first cousin.

They have a book written on them, that speaks of Dr Oscar Newman's time in Adams Co., Ohio. It is called HANG ON TO THE WILLOWS. The local library there had it. It was an awesome visit. They even asked me to stay there and work at the Hospital!!!!! I was so honored that they wanted me to work for them! We were driving from Ohio, back to Las Vegas, or Arizona. I can't remember which way we were living at the time.
