David Elmer STINE was my great-great grandfather. I've had a horrible time finding out information about him. He died suddenly 29 June 1898 (I believe). I only have found one confirmation of this date on FamilySearch.org. I know from an oral history I did with my grandmother that David's wife, Alwilda MEYERS was unable to maintain the house and sent my great-grandmother when she was about 14 or 15 to be a servant for a couple in their house, sent the two boys Clyde and Frank to the Children's home and one of her daughters I later found living with Alwilda's parents.
I have no idea how he died and very little information about him at all.
