I am looking for ancestry info on John Henry Brackman and Elisabeth Tiesem. John Henry Brackman was born in about 1800 or 1801 in the region of Hanover German (town unknown). Elisabeth Tiesem was born in Germany around 1816 or so (could be wrong on birth date). Her birth location is unknown but it was in Germany (possibly hanover region or Oldenburg region which is called Niedersauchen today). Theremarriage date is unkown but must have been before 1845. They were both German eimigrants and settled in Maria Stein, Ohio in the early 1830's. John Henry Brackman died in 1857 Cholera epidemic and is burried near the sancuary of the Church of St. Johns in Maria Stein. ELisabeth died around 1845 giving child birth. She is also burried in the St. Johns Cemetary (location unknown). They had one son. Elisabeth died giving birth to him. His name was John Brackman. John was born in about 1845 or so. John married Caroline Overman of Maria Stein. They had several children including John, Frank, Vincent, e few daughters and my great grandfather Henry Brackman. Henry Married Anna Luebke (a recent German immigrant of the late 1880's.) I am mainly looking for marriage info on John Henry Brackman and Elisabeth Tiesem. Elisabeth is a great mystery and little is know of were she came from, who here family was and who her brothers and sisters were. I would love to talk to some Tiesem ancestors. Perhaps the name is spelled wrong. I do not know why we are having so much trouble finding her ancestry.
