All I know is that a past county commisioner told me that the committee could not come up with enough money to get them published so the county supplied the money. Doesn't matter anyway because until someone can decide who has the copyright, the book can not be republished without their permission anyway so I guess the project is dead. Too bad a bunch of politics and arguing get in the way of preserving history.

We are very interested. Myself, my sister, my brother, my children and my grandchildren. We were unaware of the book until we took my 95 year old Mother back to Marmarth last week. Her family is in the book, her house is still standing as is her Father's drug store, although the drug store is not occupied.
