I have come upon a brick wall for the family of John MCLAREN (born circa 1800, Ireland), his wife Mary (born circa 1810, Ireland) and daughter Jane E. MCLAREN (born circa 1848, Massachusettes,USA). The only record I find of this family is the 1870 US census for them living in Medford, Middlesex, Massachusetts (this is were the birthdates and locations came from).

I don't find John and Mary MCLAREN in Canada. Jane married (estimate before 1879, location unknown) Abraham FERGUSON (born 1856, Wolford, Grenville, Ontario, Canada). I can find information on Abraham's family but not his death date or location nor any marriage information. Looks like some FERGUSON family members moved to Drayton, Pembima, North Dakota as I can find them listed in the local cemetery.

Jane and Abraham had a daughter Addie Louisa FERGUSON (born 11 Mar 1879, Merrickville, Grenville, Ontario, Canada; died between 1910 and 1920 in Drayton, Pembima, North Dakota). Addie married Oliver Thomas NEWELL (born 10 Aug 1872, Ware, Hertfordshire, England; emigrated in 1893 via Ellis Island).

These folks seemed to move around quite a bit (Ireland, Massachusetts, Canada, and North Dakota without leaving a trail to follow. Any ideas, suggestions, or information would be greatly appreciated.
