"Aged Peoria Man, James M'Kiernan Dies After Fall"
"James B. McKiernan, 84, who made his home with a daughter, Mrs. C. J. Sheehan, 340 Callender Ave, died in St. Francis Hospital at 11:15 pm last night. he was removed there thursday with a fractured thigh-bone, sustained when he suffered a fall."

"Mr. McKiernan, a retired hoisting engineer and resident of Peoria for the past 50 years was born March 1, 1852 in Egypt, North Carolina [looks like a mistake]. He had lived in Illinois 70 years and retired in 1914."

"He married Miss Ellen O'Connor in Ottawa, Illinois in 1872. His wife preceded him in death in 1910. To their union was born six [looks like another mistake] children, including Mrs. Daniel Manning, Mrs. C. J. Sheehan, Mrs. Loretta LeMaster, Thomas and John McKiernan, all of Peoria and mrs. LeRoy Philllips, Buchanan, Michigan. Two brothers and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Eddy, Fairbury, Illinois, William of Montana and Frank McKiernan of Rock Island, Illinois also survived as do six grandchildren and many neices and nephews."

"Mr. McKiernan was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and services will be their at 9 am Monday morning preceded at 8:30 by rites at the Boland Mortuary. The Rev. Msgr. J. J.
