I am researching these families from Beach North Dakota. Glen FOSTER was a dentist in Beach ND in the 1920's and early 1930"s. His wife name was Daisy. Her maiden name was HOM. She grew up in MIlnor ND and then moved to Beach ND. She and Glen were married abd had three boys Ray, Rex, and Reese. Glen was in poor heath and sometime after 1923 left Beach ND and went to a warmer climate. Leaving Daisy and the three boys in Beach ND. She ran a rooming house or hotel. It was called the Bluebird. I lost contact with this family after the 1930 Federal Census. If this sound like someone you know of please email me at bjhom@chibardun.net.

I have some information I'm attempting to confirm and hope someone can help. Does anyone know of an old cemetery in the area called Burkey or the Burkey Cemetery? It was supposed to have been closed and all the folks buried there were reinterred in Golva. My problem is I can find no reference to a town, township, or settlement referred to as Burkey either in Golden Valley or Slope counties except in this one word-of-mouth case, which is no longer able to be confirmed.

My grandfather Victor Dodd and his father and brothers and all came to the Trotters area about 1900 and homesteaded here. The 1915 drought forced him to leave, he had six children born here. Delphia was grnadma's name. They all came here by wahon train. Grandpa bought a 24 foot covered wagon from a sheephearder that he left there in, some went west and some went south, it was a seven year or more drought.

They stopped in Sheridan, Cherokee County, Kansas to visit with his older brother Addison and his family who had settled there 1878/79. His brother-in-laws William Henry CLARK and Charlie E. CLARK both born in Kansas traveled with them from Cherokee County, Kansas and Homesteaded along Horse Creek area. William traveled with his wife and her two children from her first marriage and their first child. The other five children would all be born in Senntial Butte, Billings/Golden Valley, North Dakota.

I am searching for death dates and burial locations and of course anything else that pretains to these families.

Jay L. Jordan and Mary E. (Lizzie) Hilton were married in Nodaway County Missouri on February 14, 1887. She was born June 14, 1869, a daughter of Edward H. and Mary Molesta Allen Hilton. In 1910, Jay and Lizzie were living in Beach, ND. Some of their children were: Elsie, Nora, Mary, and Edith who was a teacher at the Jordan School in Dawson County, Montana in 1908. Would love to hear from any of their descendants.
