Classification: Obituary
Surnames: Renskers
I am not related. While looking through microfilm of the Emmons County Record for relatives I grabbed news items for deaths and marriages of others. Hopefully someone will find this useful.

This appeared in the Emmons County Record, 8 Jul 1904, page 1, column 5.

BABY GIRL DROWNED.

A pecularly sad death by accident occurred Thursday of last week, about 5 o'clock p.m., in the Westfield neighborhood. Hattie, aged two years and seven months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Renskers, old settlers in that neighborhood, was drowned. The little girl had been out of her mother's sight but a short time when her body was found in a stock watering-tank not a great distance from the house. Life was practically extinct when she was found. Hattie was the baby of the family, and the only daughter at home, an older sister having been married and gone away. There is much sympathy for Mr. and Mrs. Renskers in the loss of their little girl. They have been visited twice by the death angel within a few months, their first loss being a son who had just reached manhood.
