I'm looking for my Grandmother's Great-Aunt, Elnora Wood, who was born in either New York or Wisconsin in 1849. From at least 1855 to 1870, it is known she was living with her folks in Loyd, Richland Co, Wisconsin. According to genealogical research done by a cousin, now deceased, Elnora married Lester Hatch, probably in Wisconsin, & they had three daughters - Elizabeth (Bess), Laura & Leona - probably born ca 1875-1890, in either Wisconsin or in North or South Dakota. According to a biography of the young Teddy Roosevelt, one of the daughters - who later married Mr Olmstead of Medora, ND - apparently helped her aunt, Cornelia "Neal" Wood Maddox (or Mattox) O'Brien (1844-1934), make a buckskin outfit for the future president. I have been unable to find any record of Lester Hatch & Elnora Wood & their daughters on Ancestry.com or on any other genealogical website. Unfortunately, I do not have easy access to the "off-line" records of Wisconsin & North & South Dakota. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
