My Ambrose Williams b. 1725-30 lived in McDowell Co. N.C. on the Catawba Riv., east side of the north branch. There were early Greenlee Families living just adjacent to him and they made land entries there in 1778. There are also Greenlees still living in McDowell/Burke Cos., N.C.
