Does anyone know if there was an epidemic in North Carolina in 1816? Many of my ancestors died in Guilford Co. between February and May of that year. The wills that I have indicate that many were men in their prime years. I have tried to find out if there was a cholera epidemic at that time, and although there are some indications that it may have been cholera, I can find no clear proof. Does anyone have any family letters etc. that might throw light on this? The families that I am currently researching are the Heath and Perdues. Any help or ideas greatly appreciated! Sharon
