I think I may have some info. Not sure. It's possible John Ivins was a few years older. In the 1850 Greene Co census, a John Ivins is listed with William Hobbs family. My ancestor Josianne Hobbs is also listed and could have been his mother. She eventually married or had children with James Hines Baker. That is my line. Her father may have been the William Hobbs in that family. In 1860 census, Josianbe and James Hines have both died and two of their children are listed as living with William Hobbs. Their names are listed as Hines Hobbs and Williams, but they are Bakers. A John Ivins or Evans is living in that family.
