My name is Shirley Faye Woodard Hales . My mother was Cathleen Davis & father was Durwood Lee Woodard.
I am looking for any information on my Great Grandfather. The only name I have is Harris Davis Birth App.1855, married to Aquilla or Equella Pitman on Aug. 15, 1880 in Wilson County, North Carolina.
They had 2 sons, Hardy Harris Davis, born either 5/16/1892 or 9/20/1894 in Spring Hill,
Wilson County, NC, died 1/19/1986. (Birth date we're not sure of)
The other son was William Riley Davis, born May, 1885, Wilson County, NC, died 9/3/1940.
He was married to Betty Holland in 12/13/1906.
Harris Davis died on railroad. Equilla Pitman died in childbirth, Possibly 1892 or 1894
I also am looking for Cemetery where they are buried in Wilson County, NC and any other information anyone has. Many thanks.
