Seeking contact with a researcher of the Wilkes County MILAM family. I have managed to trace my Milam line back to my gg-grandfather John Wesley Milam (b. 1840) who married Laura Amie Sarah Church (1843-1904) in Wilkes County on 5/3/1865. The 1850 census of Wilkes shows the household listing him (as "Wesley") headed by Rebecca Milam. The 1840 census index reflects three Milam heads of household - Benjaman, Alfred and William...I have eliminated Benjaman, because he and his wife Milly were both living in 1850. The 1830 census index lists only William Milam as a head of household. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated.

My g-grandmother, John and Laura's daughter Barbara Emeline Milam (1878-1957) married my g-grandfather, Jack Isaacs (1863-1946) in Watauga County on 8/19/1897.
