I'd be interested in finding anything on my 4g grandfather, Absalom ELLIS, who was born in Halifax Co., NC about 1755, married Phereby MERRITT 1780 in Duplin Co., settled in and died (1827)in Wayne Co.

Absalom ELLIS joined the Continental Army in Halifax County, North Carolina and served in a company commanded by Captain Harrison, and Captain Bradley.

One daughter, Leafy/Liffy ELLIS, my 3g grandmother married Wiley/Willie PEACOCK, son of Jesse and Elizabeth PEACOCK, I believe in Wayne Co.

Would anyone be able to find a record of that marriage for me.

They left for Henry Co., TN in early 1830s along with widowed Phereby and several other children, including Theophilus ELLIS and Theresa ELLIS married to John CHARLES.
