I would like to ask for some help here.
My GGGrandfather is James Bartlett Robbins b. 1842 Watauga d. abt 1910, unknown (Sarah died in Watauga - so I am thinking this is where James died as well. m Sarah Mays b. 1848 d. 1920. Children - Charles H Robbins b. abt 1878 d. abt 1911, Jeff A Robbins d 1887, d. 1949, Cornelia C Robbins b. 1881, d 1959, Mary A Robbins b 1877, d 1966,
I called NC and they told me that have no records prior to 1913. 1860 Census shows them living in Watauga.
What I would like to know is
1. How many cemeteries are there in Watauga.
2. Is there anyone that can check or has access to these cemeteries and see if they can find a burial at one of these sites for any of these relatives.
My roadblock comes in with my GGrandfather Charles H Robbins. He was also born and deceased prior to 1913, therefore, NC cannot help me. I figured if someone was able to find a burial on James Robbins, then maybe their son Charles would also be buried there.
I'm in Vancouver WA and I have been very unsuccessful in find any research on the birth and deaths. I have death certs on all of the other children, just not Charles and also for Sarah. Nothing on Charles or James.
Thank so much in advance.
