Farmer, 81, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 from Kate B
Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born in
Stokes County to Henry Herbert and Annie
Burton Boles.
She graduated from Germanton High School and retired with over 30 years service from Western Electric. "Tootsie" loved music, UNC Basketball and NASCAR racing. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Otis Farmer; sister, Arlene (Billy)
Myers and brother, Marvin L. Boles.
Surviving are her son, Keith Farmer; grandson, Alan Farmer; two brothers, Frank
Boles and Billy (Kay) Boles; sister-in-law, Stella
Boles and several nieces and nephews.
An 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at
Burroughs Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Hagan
McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mark United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 tonight, June 30, at the funeral home and other times at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, c/o Janie
