REIDSVILLE — Stacey Shelton Wilson was born in Stokes County on September 24, 1919, to William Lee and Mary Riggs Shelton.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at Calvary Baptist Church, Hwy. 87, Reidsville, N.C. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at New Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery, 521 Huffines Mill Road, Reidsville.
Stacey was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reidsville. Stacey and Alton lived in the Reidsville area for 52 years, until Alton's death in 1991. For the past 15 years, Stacey had lived in Summerfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Graves Wilson; her sisters, Ida Purgason, Cora Roberts, Lettie Mabe, and Ruth Witty; brothers, Lemmie, Hardie and Troy Shelton, and one granddaughter.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Larry) Hartsell, Mary Lynn (Alvin) Pauly, and Bonnie Ledbetter; son, Gray Wilson, (Alton, Jr.); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service, and other times will be at the home of Brenda and Larry Hartsell, 4302 Joseph Hoskins Road, Elmhurst Estates, Summerfield, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
