Mrs. Dorothy S. Russell, 89, of 700 S. Holden Rd. died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Masonic and Eastern Star Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Masonic and Eastern Star Chapel, with Chaplin Tommy Jones and the Rev. Bill McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic and Eastern Star Cemetery.
Born Nov. 23, 1914, in Stokes County, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Flora Ann Sams Stone.
She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Robert Stone.
She is survived by her husband, J. W. Russell; daughters, Margaret Berry of Pope, Miss., Faith McNeill and her husband, Rev. Bill McNeill of Supply, N.C.; and son, Jim Russell and wife, Wanda of Clemmons; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, E.B. Stone of Lake City Fla.
The family will receive friends following the service at Masonic and Eastern Star Home.
