Hi,Victoria. My ggrandfathers brother,John B. Williamson married Louisa Augusta Bechtler on Dec. 13,1866. This was in the York District of SC.John grew up in Spartanburg and the couple moved there sometime after marrying.This was the second marriage for both as their first spouses had both died.The family moved to Arkansas to be there for the 1880 census. The rest of the Williamson family had already arrived and some of their descendants are still there.The Bechtlers had moved to Spartanburg from NC and the father was listed as a jewler.There is a lot about the Bechtlers that comes up if you do a google search. A very interesting family. Which part do you come from? Louisa's first husband was a traveling musician and she traveled with him.Happy New Year!!!
