Lorenzo Dow COLLINGS was born 15-April-1835 in Putnam Co., Indiana the son of Abraham L. COLLINGS and Lydia GRAHAM. He married Sophia Catherine WEESNER 5-August-1853 either in Putnam Co., Indiana or Mercer Co., Missouri. They were among the large number of Putnam Co., Indiana residents who migrated to Mercer co., Missouri in 1850-1855. Sophia Catherine WEESNER was born 3-March-1834 in Rowan Co., North Carolina and I have her father as Charlie which could be a nick name. I have information on many other families who came to Mercer Co., Missouri from Putnam Co., Indiana at the same time including these surnames ADER, AKERS, EVANS, DUREE, PICKETT, YATES and others.
