I am sorry. He was born in 1829 and died in 1894. He was married to Margaret Elisabeth Rainey. I think you are onto something with the 1850 census for Elisabeth Mesimer with an Elisabeth Mesimer living in a household of Raineys..however this Elisabeth mesimer is to old to be Moses's wife. perhaps his mother? I know that moses served in CSA and that he is buried at Bethel Methodist Church in Midland,NC. Thanks for all your info!!
