Here I am replying to my own message. But, I wanted
to record the fact that I learned that Blennie Cox,
the orphaned daughter of Gilbert Cox and Drucilla Bullard,
married Grover C. Pittman in Robeson Co., in about 1906.
They had several children and were living in Wishart
Twp. by 1920.
Prior to her marriage, Blennie was living with her
uncle, Dwight Bullard and family. The 1900 census
does not give her surname as Cox, but rather implies
(through ditto) that it was Bullard. I do not know
if she took the name Bullard or if this is just a
common census inaccuracy.
Don't know much yet about Grover C. Pittman (b. 1884),
though, but I assume he was a Robeson native son.
