Classification: Query
Surnames: Lamb, Cox, Flowers

I believe Leachy Cox was originally Leach Lamb, b. 1822 in NC. She married a Stephen S. Cox b. NC, 1820. He died or they separated before the 1850 Census.
Source: Mystery Roots, Ancestry family tree but no source so you'll need to prove it.

1850 Southern Division, Robeson, NC
Mary Anna Lamb, b. Robeson Co., 30
Richard M. Willis, b. Bladen Co. 24, farmer
Hugh Lamb, b. Robeson Co., 10

Daniel M. J., b. Robeson Co., 2
Leachy Cox, b. Robeson Co., 27
Anna Cox, b. Robeson Co., 9
Stephen Cox, b. Robeson Co. 4

1860 Robeson Co. NC
Leachy Cox, b. NC, 38

Leachy married Jesse Flowers but I didn't find the marriage document.

1860 Robeson Co. NC
Jesse Flowers, b. NC, 37, farmer
Creassy, b. NC, 35
James, b. NC, 9

Joel G., b. NC
Uriah J., b. NC, 2
Stephen Cox, b. NC, 12
Catharine Carter, b. NC, 18

I think Leachy/Creassey died and Jessie re-married.

The Robeson County Public Library has family histories, local church records, but I don't know if they'll do lookups.

I'd also contact the Southeastern North Carolina Genealogical Society
PO Box 468
Chadbourn 28431-0468
and ask if they have a local death index for Robeson County, indexed newspaper death notices and cemetery inventories. Successful Searching!
