It appears that the Bodiford families of Robeson County represented by Stephen Bodiford and his son Uriah are cousins of the Bodiford families of South Carolina but the two lines branced off immediately after the family's arrival in North America. The South Carolina Bodifords have been y-DNA tested and it would be useful for a male with the Bodiford surname from the North Carolina fmily to test to prove the close relationship.
