I am looking for parents & siblings of Margaret Murphy who was born in the late 1700's either in Robeson or Richmond Counties. In the 1850's she was living in the household of Archibald M. McCormick in Stewartsville, Richmond County. In his will, Archibald refers to Margaret as his sister-in-law, so Archibald's wife Jennett must have been a Murphy, too. The McCormicks had a son named Murphy McCormick, and a greatgranddaughter named Margaret Murphy Jernigan whose son was named Murphy McLean.
