A little something to add to the Risdon Nichols out there...

My 3rd Great-Grandfather was Risdon Daniel Nichols, born in or around Clayton/Henry County Georgia. He served the Confederacy in the 56th GA Infantry, Company A. He died in Lexington, KY as a POW. One parent was from NC and the other from SC. My Risdon's father was "E.R. Nichols" and his mother was "Sally". I don't know much past this. I see that there are a few "Risdon Nichols" over in NC and just can't find a connection that I am sure is there. The name is just too unique. I know there was another Risdon D. Nichols from Rockingham County, NC who was close in age to my Risdon and also served in the CSA for NC. If anyone knows anything about a GA/NC "Risdon Nichols" connection, I'd love to hear about it. Take care and happy hunting!
