Family tradition says he captured Daniel Boone at one time
and later he escaped. Daniel Boone was captured in 1769 in Kentucky along Warrior's Path by Captain Will (also known as William Emory/Emery) when he and others were hunting.
He escaped from Captain Will at this time. Capt. Will was
said to be a renegade (part) Cherokee that ran with the Shawnees. Is Captain Will and Chief Wahatoga the same
person? One his English name and one his Cherokee name.
