I am looking for the descendancy of Alexander Moore Long found in the following family: Benjamin Jr. Long, born October 08, 1759 in Orange County, N.C.; died Abt 1830. He was the son of Benjamin Sr. Long and Mary Bond. He married. Rachel Moore May 24, 1780. Rachel Moore was the daughter of 146. Rev. Alexander Moore and 147. Marian.

yr of Gate4s'defeat at Camden (wife wasn't named), he appl 5 Nov 1833 Caswell Co NC & he had also married there...''
He took part in the Battle of Camden, ''the memorable battle of Gen. Gate's defeat, '' and wrote in his pension application, ''Though most of the militia never fired a gun, we fired two rounds before we ran.''
Benjamin Jr. received a share of his father's land (520 acres) on Storey Creek in what is now Person County. This tract included the area presently called Chub Lake.
Children of Benjamin Long and Rachel Moore are:
i. William Gabriel Long, born Abt 1787 in Virginia; married (1) Cora (or Clara); married (2) Bridget (Biddy) Van Hook December 23, 1809; married (3) Bridget (Biddy) Van Hook December 23, 1809.
ii. Elizabeth Gaines Long, married (1) Lawrence Van Hook; married (2) Lawrence Van Hook.
iii. Alexander Moore Long.
iv. John Long, married Eunice Lea Rose October 30, 1812.
