Velner Garner Mabe, 64, of 259 West Butler, Liberty died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at her home.

Mrs. Mabe was the daughter to the late Albert and the late Dora (Maness) Garner.

Mrs. Mabe was a native of Moore County, a member of Siler City Church of God and was retired from Liberty Furniture.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Sunshine) Abner Mabe.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheryl Warren of Silk Hope; three sons, Billy Mabe of Staley, Richard Mabe of Siler City, David Mabe of Liberty; one step-son, Wayne Mabe of Ramseur; two sisters, Bronna Brewer of High Falls, Nepsie Williams of Laurinburg; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitatin will be Wednesday, May 30, 2001 from 7 to 9 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City.
The funeral will be Thursday, May 31, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Siler City Church Of God, 405 North Fifth Avenue, Siler City with Rev. Neal Kight officiating
Burial will be in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery, Robbins.
